Every year, Islands Hospice invites families and the community to a remembrance ceremony honoring those we have loved and cared for. Although we are unable to hold our in-person remembrance ceremony this year, we are partnering with KHON for a special broadcast, Healing Through Remembrance. Hosted by John Veneri, this half-hour show will be about cherishing loved ones, celebrating memories and healing after a loss.
During the pandemic, many families experienced grief in some way, and many lost loved ones, some unexpectedly. COVID-19 restrictions limited in-person gatherings, preventing families from holding funerals and celebrations of life to honor those they lost. We hope that through this televised event, Islands Hospice can provide strength to anyone who is grieving a loss of any type.
We are so excited to feature some of our amazing Islands Hospice staff and ohana who will offer their unique perspectives on the complexities of grief, including anticipatory grief, and share coping strategies to help heal hearts. We warmly invite you to tune in to KHON for this special program and invite your friends and ohana to watch with us as well.
