A Message From Our Chief Executive Officer, Michael Duick, M.D.
Islands Hospice started as a vision in 2008. Our vision was simple - to increase healthcare access to the residents of Oahu by providing the highest quality and most comprehensive end-of-life care.
Our vision quickly became reality. In just a few short years, we have provided world class medical care and psychosocial support to thousands of patients with terminal disease while attending to the special needs of their family members and loved ones. Staying true to our nonprofit mission, we have never denied care to a terminally ill patient regardless of ability to pay.
Each year, Islands Hospice continues to advance our mission of providing our patients with excellent quality care that has their best interests at heart. Our goal is to continue to make a difference to our patients and to their families during their end-of-life moments by enabling them to live life to the fullest in secure and familiar surroundings with those who matter most - family and friends.
We are very excited that we are now sharing our compassion and expertise with our neighbor island of Maui. In July 2014, we began providing our services to Maui residents and one year later we opened a beautiful hospice home in Kahului.
We appreciate your taking the time to learn more about Islands Hospice.
Mahalo nui loa,
